Arbitration

ICC arbitration is the default dispute resolution procedure under the FIDIC forms of contract. It is therefore unsurprising that lawyers at Corbett & Co have been involved with numerous ICC arbitrations in their careers. However, our experience is much broader than simply ICC arbitrations. We have appeared as either advocates or solicitors in both domestic and international arbitrations including LCIA, UNCITRAL, as well as ad hoc arbitrations. Having conducted arbitrations as advocates, Corbett & Co has the skills required to analyse and deal with disputes that are legally and factually complex. Where arbitrations are conducted in foreign jurisdictions, we work with local lawyers to provide our clients with the best possible service and legal advice.

Corbett & Co lawyers have published numerous articles on arbitration and written two text books on arbitration: Arbitration of Commercial Disputes: International and English law and Practice and A Practical Approach to Arbitration Law. Edward Corbett has been appointed arbitrator in several international arbitrations.
