Adjudication / Dispute Boards / ADR

Corbett & Co has represented its clients before Dispute Adjudication Boards, Dispute Review Boards, in adjudication proceedings under the English Construction Act 1996 and in mediations.  We provide advocacy services to clients in all forms of ADR processes and in any subsequent enforcement proceedings.  We have an exceptional amount of experience dealing with FIDIC Dispute Adjudication Boards, with scores of referrals to DABs.  Our lawyers have also dealt with dozens of adjudications under the Construction Act 1996 as well as claims in mediations.

Adjudications involve particular challenges.  A FIDIC adjudication has to be concluded within 84 days of the date of referral. The skills and experience of our lawyers means that Corbett & Co can react to our clients’ needs quickly and effectively.  We will work with our clients to ensure that the best possible advice is given within very tight timescales.  We pride ourselves on the hands-on involvement of each director in dealing with claims.  Where work can effectively be prepared by an assistant solicitor then we delegate such work to ensure that the costs of adjudications and mediations are contained as much as possible.  Corbett & Co’s lawyers have published numerous articles on adjudication and Dispute Boards.

Edward Corbett has experience both as adjudicator under the UK regime and as DAB overseas.
